The fused glass blessing bowl Egyptian Spring is composed of two layers of contrasting color. The top layer is a wispy bright blue with clear. This allows the bottom layer of spring green to show through creating a vibrant show. Inside the bowl, I’ve included the quote from the French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: « Ce qui embellit le désert, c’est qu’il cache un puits quelque part. » (“What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well.”) It speaks to the hope and beauty that can lay hidden in the most unexpected places. I wrote the quote in liquid gold and fired it at a high temperature for permanence. I include a translation card of the quote with the bowl. This petit bowl is perfect for holding rings, small treasures, or a scoop of ice cream. It is food safe and should be hand washed. Not for use in the microwave.
