My name is Michelle Caron, and I am the owner and
artist at Caron Art Glass, located in Salem, Oregon.
I have been working with glass for over 30 years
exploring traditional stained glass, fused glass and
glass mosaic. I draw inspiration from the colors and
forms of the Pacific Northwest to add to my years of
living on the windward side of Oahu. Both Oregon
and Hawaii are rich treasure troves of natural beauty
and cultural depth. Through the use of color, line,
texture and light, I express my voice and my vision.

In addition to being an artist, a mom, a wife and a gardener, I’m a traveler. My curiosity about stained
glass was piqued during a year I spent living in France. The first time I walked into a gothic cathedral, I
was mesmerized by the kaleidoscopic colors of light streaming through the rose window. My studio is the playground that allows me to create with and explore this amazing medium.
