The Out of the Blue sculpture celebrates the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the illusive blue poppy seeds from Tibet to Vancouver Island, BC. Mrs. Jennie Butchard was the only recipient of these seeds in North America. The vivid blues contrasting with carnelian and various hues of green make a bold statement. As a stand-alone piece, you can be place the sculpture in any location where it can take advantage of the natural light in the room. The glass is 3/8” thick and seated in a tigerwood base.
