These fused glass Pearl Plates will be part of an online auction organized by the Prestigious Pearls of Northern Guilford County in North Carolina.  This Official Interest Group of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority serves communities in North Carolina.  Their aim is to raise funds that directly benefit individuals and families in these communities.

I designed the Pearl Plates as a celebration and recognition of the work this group does to strengthen communities on a local level.  The glass pearls are a three dimensional, permanent part of the plates.  The palette extends the colors of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority – salmon pink and apple green.

Donating artwork is a way I put my creations out into the broader community.   I support the positive actions of groups such as the Prestigious Pearls of Northern Guilford County, North Carolina.  The Ivy and Pearls Virtual Auction will be held from March 10 – 15, 2025.
